We had some really cold Weather in November so it makes going outside a little more challenging. To try to keep active the youth decided they wanted to get into the canoes. We have a few youth who have never been in canoes before, so what better place/time to learn the basics, than a -30oC day in November, in a pool.
To document the event, we gave them a waterproof video camera and let them capture the day.
We'd like to thank Scouter Todd for bringing the boats down, and for leading the event. From this point forward, I will always be able to tell the story of how a Scouter was carrying two canoes on his SUV in -30oC weather, and had to stop to help someone who was stuck in the snow in the ditch on the highway.
